Tampa's Michelin Guide Restaurants, Star by Star

Four one-star rooms, four Bib Gourmands, a Green Star on a working farm, and twenty Recommended. Plus the one Tampa restaurant that lost its star in 2026.

The MICHELIN Guide Florida went statewide for its 2026 selection, and Tampa came out of it with four one-star restaurants, four Bib Gourmands, one Green Star and twenty Recommended listings. No Tampa restaurant has ever held two stars.

The stars: Koya, eight seats on West Platt in Hyde Park, tasting menu only, starred every year since 2023 and the longest-running of the four. Ebbe, a counter on North Franklin where Ebbe Vollmer cooks a Nordic-influenced tasting menu. And two rooms on the same Tampa Heights street: Kosen, a twelve-seat omakase counter, and Rocca.

The Bib Gourmands, which is the list to use when you want dinner this week: Rooster & the Till in Seminole Heights, a Bib four times over, which started with 37 seats and a few induction burners. Psomi, a daytime Greek bakery on North Howard named for the Greek word for bread. Streetlight Taco on Henderson. And Gorkhali Kitchen, Nepali food on Cross Creek Boulevard in New Tampa, opened in 2022 by four friends.

The Green Star is the surprise. Fat Beet Farm is an actual working farm on West Hillsborough Avenue with a kitchen and bakery on the property. It entered the guide for the first time in 2026 and entered it holding the only Green Star in Tampa Bay.

One room moved down. Lilac at The Tampa EDITION held a star in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and does not hold one now; it stayed in the guide as Recommended. Tampa had five starred restaurants in 2025 and has four today. We publish what a venue holds right now, so Lilac carries Recommended here and nothing else.

Two things people get wrong. The regional coverage of the 2026 selection kept reporting a new Bib Gourmand for the Tampa Bay area. It is Lucky 8, and Lucky 8 is in Sarasota. And the Recommended list is where the interesting eating is: Bern's is on it, and so is The Brisket Shoppe, a barbecue counter in West Tampa that serves Wednesday to Saturday until the meat runs out.

Michelin has not announced a date for the 2027 Florida selection. Until it does, everything above is current. The full Michelin list we track in Tampa is its own page.
